Sabi Sabi Selati Camp - Sabi Sands - Kruger National Park
Sabi Sabi Selati Camp was originally created without electricity to preserve the ambience, Selati Camp has now installed overhead fans, air-conditioning and all the trimmings expected from a luxury safari lodge. Nights at Selati are quiet, intimate and possessed of a rare magic. Under the spectacular canopy of the Southern night sky the camp is still romantically lit by the gentle flicker of oil lamps and lanterns, and the warm glow of fires.
Fashioned in a colonial “Out of Africa” style, this exclusive lodge comprises seven opulent thatched suites, each with full bathroom en-suite and private alfresco shower nestled under majestic indigenous trees. World-class cuisine is served on wooden thatched decks built alongside the Msuthlu riverbed, in the open air “boma” or in the “farmhouse kitchen”.
Sabi Sabi Selati Camp is reminiscent of a bygone era and is the most romantic of Sabi Sabi’s lodges. Each of the 7 suites, including the Lourenco Marques Honeymoon suite and the superb Ivory Presidential suite, is intimate and comfortable. All suites are air-conditioned with mini bar, en-suite bathroom, and indoor and outdoor shower. The Ivory Suite at Sabi Sabi Selati Camp has its own plunge pool.
Nights are illuminated by the gentle glow of lanterns and dinners are enjoyed in the outdoor boma under the African sky. Armchairs around the sparkling pool or on the covered wooden viewing decks are a perfect perch from which to watch game drinking at the nearby waterhole.

...moreI together with my other five friends we booked safari with Sally from African Travel Consultants, we spent three days on safari to the Masai Mara. Everything was well organized, the driver came to pick us on time and the whole safari was full of fun & excitement. We managed to see the big five and we were lucky to have a fantastic cook Joe ! We really enjoyed the meals. I highly recommend Sally from African Travel Consultants as it's the only company that was cost effective for a group of interns & students, Great service and very professional.

African Travel Consultants delivered on their promise. Once I arrived in Cape Town, I never had to contact him as everything was in place. We highly recommend ATC!

The lodge itself is incredibly luxurious, rooms were very tidy, bed was comfortable and the front balcony with the pool is lovely touch. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was simply outstanding and consisted of a buffet breakfast and lunch, and lovely dinner out on the deck.
The lodge itself is situated within a private concession of Kruger National Park which is densely populated with animals. The guides know their way around like the back of their hands and we were fortunate enough to see all of the big 5 (and even wild dogs). The highlight had to be seeing a leopard drag an impala up a tree - a once in a lifetime experience which wouldn't have been possible without our fantastic guide, Connor
The Lourenco Marques Suite is a must for honeymooners or the romantic at heart. Whether it is the fragrant flower petals strewn on the exquisite bedlinen, or the candles illuminating the bathroom on return from the evening safari, a stay in this romantic suite will always be remembered.
